I can't get my computer to stream videos from my external hard drive to my xbox, I can only get it to stream from the my video folder. Anyone know how I can get it to stream from my external hdd folder?
add the HDD files to your WMP library
Right click > share.
You may need to put everything in the HDD into a folder, and then share that folder though.

@kylef its in a folder, i allowed sharing of my hdd, even went into the movies folder on the hdd and allows sharing and still nothing, only my music and my video from my hdd show up

hey i finally got it, I had to install something from microsoft that let me share protected material
hey dude what did you have to install? because iv been trying to get my xbox to stream things from my computer for the past few days, with no luck. iv been trying to do it following this thing (the WMP part). problem is, when i go to the sharing tab, it doesnt show my xbox as an option. in fact, it doesnt show anything. its like this regardless of whether my xbox is on or off

actually nevermind windows media player was being gay too me(would recognize my hard drive one night but not another) just install tversity,http://tversity.com/ and you that to stream to your xbox much easier.USARANGER01 wrote:
