They state that these batteries are slightly heavier for the amount of charge given, how much heavier? Does this mean laptops in the future will weigh considerably more? And cellphones? I hope not.

Meh, Lithium-nanotubes is what I'll wait for.

Basically, it means packing lithium ions so densely that it'll run your laptop for a month.

Also, this tech has been available since the 90's.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

There have been tonnes of articles about it. It's like advertising Windows 95 again.
