Ive noticed that the player number has been going down slowly, i have a full list of favorite servers and i usually play around 7 or 8 pm, and the servers are always 70% full with players and 90% of servers are active, that was less than a month ago, now every time i log on, i look at my list and see that more than half of the servers are empty, and only like 3 or 4 full servers of players.
I think your shit is broken.
Fix it.
Fix it.
I concur with cougar. I play from around 1130pm Hawaii time, and there's ALWAYS a ton of servers with people, most of which are full.
You need to patch up. Not too many servers left still running the old patch.
Boom, Headshot.

Anyways, some of my frequented servers are empty more often, but it doesn't have anything to do with global player decrease.
I say that because if you go to internet games, put in a few filters you can find a good 50 full servers 24/7, and atleast 5-10 with a good ping. Maybe 2-3 on a map you like.
Although, all it takes is one, so I'm not worried.
I have noticed more near empty servers than usual the past few weeks but, think it's because of spring break. Everyone goes out of town. At last around here.
even here is AUS more and more servers are sitting empty.
Not for Thailand. The EA TH Servers are still 100% filled 24/7, the moment someone leaves there are a hundred players refreshing waiting to take his spot.
I used to play on a few servers regularly (was in my fav list) but now they are dead. I don't think people are leaving bf2. I just think certain servers die off. Someone once said that all (ranked) servers are basically the same, the only thing to differentiate each one is lag.
So I'd imagine that the population just rotates between servers.

I have 14 64pl servers in my favorites list, none of which can be joined without spending 5-10 minutes refreshing the list until someone leaves one of them.
based on my own experience just the opposite is true. Servers which used to always have several open slots are now continually full. It is a rare thing for me when I can actually join one of my favorite fourteen without a moderate wait and many refreshes of the server list. Perhaps you are just playing on crappy servers where people no longer wish to play, or you may have enabled some filters which are stopping the complette list of available servers to display.
Go find some better servers and you will soon be on the other side of the fence.

Well the new patches haven’t exactly helped in keeping people interested in the game…
People are just consolidating, over time it is natural that the number of players drops, and people gravitate to fuller servers.
People with aimbot's are wrecking the game. It seems like there are more and more of them everyday.

Wouldnt worry to much about it, ton of people still play.
I play EA UK 64 man serv's and hardly anything else. The number of servers have fallen dramatically, however, I put this down to Euro Force servers which have been swapped from BF2 to Euro Force. Thus, the numbers seem to me like they still play, but just on Euro.
One word: 'Oblivion'
Ha! I started playing that one this weekend. Oblivion is beautiful, but it makes me wish I was already SLI'ed.
Amen to that!... Beautiful game if you've got the rig to play it. I haven't played BF2 since 3/18/06.Ganko_06 wrote:

Now if only Oblivion would stop crashing as much as it does. Check out their forums. The same "beta-testers" griping we had about BF2.
That oblivion looks pants, no offence. If your swapping that for BF2 thats purley your choice. I happen to think it's a waste of Gaming time when compared to playing BF2 online.
If you had to budget your time say for eg, you have 3 hours to play a game I know which I'd be playing.

You need to set the filter to servers that have people but aren't full. It really helps.
Nah, Oblivion is purely a diversion. I give it probably a couple more months before I'm back to BF2. Truth to tell though, with the warmer weather coming around, I'll be out more often than not in the evenings and weekends. Meaning, no time to play BF2.1927 wrote:

Amen to that, bring on the summer. Long evenings, walks on the beach, bbq's and England coming home at the qtr finals from Germany.
