Usb keyboard and mouse aren't working in windows.

Switched off pc, unplugged harddrive, plugged cd drive in, switched on pc an now:

Keyboard working in startup but when windows boots it switches off, same with mouse. Does this in windows 7 and Vista

(Finray's rig btw)

Any suggestions?

check all the power and data connectors and all components are securely seated in their respective slots or sockets - you may have knocked summat.

Did a system restore, seemed to work.

Dunno what the problem was, but it's fixed now.

you just bypassed the problem, not fixed
1. you haven't fixed anything so you haven't learned anything
2. Next time it might happen again and you still won't know what the problem is
