To the OP, my suggestion was that EA set the punish system so that punishing was not even an option until a medic could no longer revive the killed player.  If the revival happened, then punishing was not an option.  If the player was not revived, then the punish option would appear, but that would give them some time to reflect on how they got killed, and make a more level headed decision on whether to punish the player or not.

This would not eliminate the problem, but could go a long way in preventing the immediate page down pressing that occurs every time the TK message appears on the screen.

Now that is the most sensible suggestion anyone has made about this.

Agreed, excellent suggestion.  Although i still think that the wankers humping the page down button will find a way to screw that up too.

There's the most intelligent solution to the problem.  I get so sick of getting punished by some dumb idiot who gets run over by me when I'm in a tank.

I got run over today.  The server in question doesn't have the punish option turned on.  I told the guy it was my fault to start with because I thought he was the only one in the tank.

Even if I intend to punish for some unforgivable offense, I always wait to see if I get revived.  Only after I am unrevivable do I decide if a punish is warranted. As far as I'm concerned only an ass would punish for spending only a few seconds out of commission and then getting revived.

EDIT: I agree with the above solution, it would be a great improvement over the present system but I do see one minor flaw it could create:  Imagine a situation where two teammates wanted to make the game miserable for you.  One kills you, the other revives you.....and on and on till you leave the game in frustration.  They could kill/revive you 50 times with no penalty.  Granted, this would not happen often but you can bet for sure that it would happen at times.

It doesn't matter. Doesn't give you more negatives. Screw it, move on.
