Finny has one
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

HD4830? or too expensive?

4830 is practically a cheap 4850... and would be a decent option imo

4850... I don't know your financial situation but the 4850 is cheap and a big step up from a 4670
and the 4830 like LBJ said is a good 100-130 dollar option

I liked the look of the 4670 as it has a passive cooler...my pc sounds like an aircraft as i lost the TT120 controller!

I could be wrong, but can't you control speeds with something like speedfan?

Yup, though im not sure if I can turn it down without problems in Rivatuner ?

Looking more likely to be the 4850 1gb now, really need the ram for 1920x1200.

Noticed on this old patch the 8800gtx stutters abit on AIX 2.0 outside...

Yeah, but the 4850 gets really fucking hot unless you have the fan turned up.

EDIT: Unless you get one with a non-reference cooler.

Sounds about right. He should be able to use speedfan to control the speed of his fans connected to his mobo.
