Apophis(over 1000' across), 2036 coming to a theater near you! In 2029 this asteroid will pass between Earth and our own comm. satellites at which point we will be able to calculate if we will be hit in 2036 but at this point the common opinion is it's not to likely. However former astronauts/space experts are apparently very concerned over the threat.

I've heard and from what I've seen it clears us the first pass.. the second is unsure depending on how much it's orbit shifts. I think the odds are still low though.

Pretty much. The moon itself was most likely formed from a large collision.
Fuck you guys, damn pessimists, we have enough nukes to destroy half the planet, surely we have enough to push the moon out of orbit.
We have enough to decimate the surface of our planet.. nothing near actually vaporizing it.
K. Start digging up the NT then.

Australia has 1/3rd of the world's uranium. The NT has well over 50% of it. Actually we should do it, build one big giant nuke and fire it into space and film it detonating. You know, just to see what happens.
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
