Yeah, this guy was on the radio awhile back, and we all thought it was just another Eminem track. lolwat

He needs to try and......be less like Eminem ...purely in terms of how his voice sounds/the way he does it.

Heres a freestyle

Asher Roth on Eminem wrote:

Him and I are different artists. I think the music’s going to portray that as time goes on. The comparisons are just…it’s cool to be compared to Em, but he’s one of the number one selling artists of all time. I’d rather be compared to him than pretty much anybody else. I think content and everything we rap about is completely different. We’re different artists. We just happened to be under the same genre.

Asher Roth on Eminem wrote:

"I think it's too easy. 'A white emcee with a sense of humor and a political side? Oh, let’s compare him to Em!' ... I have nothing but respect for him though; he made it possible for me to be here, he opened the doors, but we come from an entirely different inspiration."Also in a song entitled "Silly Boy" produced by Don Cannon he raps "That Eminem comparison is barely accurate/My rapping is as passionate, but lacks the psychopath of it". Roth has professed to Mos Def, The Roots, Biggie, and Outkast as being some of his main hip-hop influences.

If you're white and rap, you'll be compared to Eminem.

It's unavoidable.

Even a no-talent bitch like that British midget (forgot her name..) gets compared to him.

No... Is Paul Wall anything like Eminem? No. This dude's voice sounds exactly like Eminem his skin color has nothing to do with it.

Asher Roth sucks.

Terribly.

My little brother can string together nursery rhymes like that and rap along to a hideously-contrived 'nigga' beat with weed iconography and black friends. Hideously geeky and awkward to listen to, reminds me of like an Evangelist Christian rock music group trying to break into the real genre.

"And I can get Pizza a dollar a slice..."

the only weed iconography is "Drink my beer and smoke my weed"
but then you would have to say alcoholic iconography

also, since when is a guitar, bass, and drums a nigga beat?
I guess I would have to say that the nigga beats of The Beach Boys are nice

He sounds like a white college kid who isn't musically inclined trying to make rap music. 'A' for effort, 'F' for failing.  Maybe him and Schwayze could start a band called No Talent Hacks

It's a gimmick, it's basically the next nerdcore-rap, only this time repackaged and rehyped by the labels to be morally-correct good-example middle-class white-kid hip-hop. His rhymes suck schlong and his beats are whack. His shit makes me cringe and I firmly believe the only 'genuine' fans are going to be 14 year olds akin the sort that got into Eminem when he first exploded because it's a mainstream-appealing diluted and 'acceptable' version of a genre that they actually don't understand / aren't allowed to listen to.

tl;dr: listen to real hip-hop, this shit is tacky.
