Couple years ago, dances got banned from our school, too many drugs and too much alcohol,

Now at my old school, they figure out how to deal with it so they still had dances,

So now, I got a dance-void to fill, and there's a third-party company that's running a couple next month, but I'm just trying to figure out which one to go to,

MELTED is a teen club event for grades 8-10 in Vancouver on Thursday, April 9, 2009. MELTED is the same casually dressed night club style event as before with crazy lighting, intense sound and DJ's from across Canada. (Grades 8 - 10, $20)

ICED is a semi-formal teenage club event party in Vancouver on Friday, April 10, 2009. Just follow the red carpet through to the most sophisticated, glamourous, eye popping lighting show GRAD STYLE event for all those students either getting out or just thinking about getting the heck outta high school dodge. (Grades 10 - 12, $30)
So on one hand, I wanna go to MELTED as it's cheaper, and seems to be more of a DANCE, but Facebook comments for last years event just complained about how all the grade 8 LG's were clinging to people >.<
But likewise, what exactly IS a 'Semi-formal', I don't think it'd be an actual night-club style dance...? Would it?

So, BF2s, where do I go?

How old are you?

Most decent clubs are semi formal dress code.  This seems like a cheap copy though

**I'm 15 and in Grade 10, so I can get into both.

So even the 'Semi-Formal's still gonna be an actual Dance, and not like...boring...? If that's the word.

Oh, I'd say go to the older one for sure.  It's always better to be with older people than younger when it comes to this stuff

I think anything with a nice dress shirt would be fine, no ripped jeans, nice slacks would help, also some "walking shoes" such as converses might help.

I don't own any dress shirts >.<

Nor do I own any non-jeans pants >.<

Would a really nice T-shirt and matching non-ripped jeans work?

Jeans and a t-shirt won't fly. You'll need a collar. Even just a white dress shirt will do the job, wear a t-shirt under it and leave the top two buttons open. Borrow one from a friend, even if it does not fit just right you'll be dancing anyways, so no big deal.

Would that work?

It's still technically a shirt(I think) but it's got a collar >.<

If you lose the undershirt and the studs it should work just fine for the type of dance your going to. The dress shirt will still score you bigger points though. They are not all that expensive, I suggest you invest in a solid colour one in case the need arises again (it will).

Yeah, that shirt would make you look like a little kid.  I'm pretty sure you can get a decent dress shirt for this for like $15, it doesnt have to be great quality since youre going to get it messed up anyways

The "Undershirt" and overshirt are sewn together, the gray is just sleeves >.< That's why the silkscreen flows over.

And the studs are like rivets on the backside >.<

Yea, get a plain black button down shirt.

So useful.
