List:

PC with Ethernet and USB Connections
USB Modem
Ethernet Modem/Router
Internet

1) Ethernet modem/router seems to be working fine, except that the modem bit is broken (for some reason it doesn't connect to my internet). So what I have is, maybe, just a router on its own.

2) USB Modem can connect to the internet fine, but it's a USB modem so it can only connect to my PC. So basically I don't know how to share my connection so that I can use my wireless router as a router so that the laptop/PS3 can also get internet just like old times

What I have on my Network Connections list in Windows XP is basically two Local Area Connections. Local Area Connection being the Ethernet connection between my PC and the modem/router. And Local Area Connection 2 being the connection between my PC and the USB Modem.

So that got me thinking, if I can somehow let my router indirectly access the modem so that I can share my connection wirelessly around the house. I've done some googling and stuff but I'm not really getting it, I can't seem to find exactly what I need to do in my situation. Essentially I want to connect my USB Modem to my Ethernet router, but do it indirectly via my PC and Windows XP.

I thought I could bridge the two local area connections, maybe that would do something, but nah that kinda failed unless I wasn't doing it right. Might try it again afterwards and go into the settings more properly. But I'd rather properly know what I'm doing rather than only sort of know what I'm doing.

Anyway, helps?

Bridge the USB modem connection with the Ethernet one. Select both and right-click.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

I tried that before, it didn't work, just tried it again.......seemed to connect/work. Let me just go and see if it actually does work

Basically I need to go into my router setting and do something, but I'm not quite sure what. Let's go see...
