I pick someone interesting in the group at a party and talk with them one on one. Pre-requisite of this is they are female and attractive.

I've got others friends who are the centre of attention, others who'll try to make sure they talk to everyone, etc though.

Friends from school. Now they have left school have made more friends. I've made more friends at uni. Friends of friends host parties. Or your own friends do. Or you can not be lazy and host one. (get mum's permission first though ok?)
