So this new battlefield game is due out this autumn....so my question is how many of you will still play BF2 and how many of you will stop playing BF2 and play BF2142 / QuakeWars etc etc.....

Probably go with Quakewars, I'm already beginning to stop playing BF2. Mainly coz EF was a total waste of time, but partly coz the games gettin old and tired now and the obligatory influx of retards who only bought the game coz its £10 has begun.

Im staying with Bf2 and SF. if im going to play a Future game ill chose from one of the 25,000 games based on "mechwarrior" style combat.
I going to give Quake wars a shot, I mena, EA has given me enough headaches.

2142 doesnt impress me. Still looking forward to Quake Wars. Will b enice to get out from under EA/Dice in a game for a while...

2142 looks like crap to me, still I'll probly buy it as i like the battlefield series. I think BF2 will have the edge for me though. Mech combat just des'nt look good to me.
Honestly, when the Blackhawk was nerfed I lost a lot of enjoyment with this game. The best part of the game was when the US captured the PLA airfield on Wake. I loved hovering slow through the trees with a semi-decent gunner or aligning myself perpendicular between the US and PLA forces and slowly going lateral down the map as ground support. BF 2142 is going to be a cheap futuristic ripoff of BF2. If they incorporated a dynamic environment then I would definitely buy it. Now I'm looking forward to Quake Wars. Hopefully QW will be properly programmed...
I'll stay with BF2, but also buy and try BF2142 and Quake Wars. They both look like fun when you need a break from the norm.

Though I would stay with BF2. I have to honestly say that I would at least try out BF2142 just to see what it's like. If it lives up to the hype then I might see myself playing both equally. Honestly I can even see a section of this site going to the new BF2142 if Chuy begins playing it also.

stick with bf2 than switch over to 2142 after reading reviews on it and making sure its populated well
I really enjoyed 1942. I liked the prop planes and the b52's. I liked the mobile artillery vehicles. I would like to see a mod for bf2 to use bf2 style play with 1942.
if DICE put their effort in fixing all the bugs in BF2 they wont need BF2142. they need to create BF3 sans the sci-fi because 1) quake wars already got sci-fi 2) people are tired of the mechwarrior concept 3) it does not relate to any historical or current event. unlocks and badges can keep interest in the BF franchise alive but booster packs are not good because they are fragmenting the community by leaving fewer dedicated servers to choose from.
