Keep the thread open but post with respect or don't post at all. Yeah she was fat, got to where she was from being on big brother, yeah she said stupid things, no she wasn't a racist, ok she had a bald head like a hardline racist but that was because she was dying, yes she's a celebrity, yeah she had a scatty Mum and raked the money in from doing next to nothing.
No that dosen't give us an excuse to say she got what she deserved, nobody deserves to die unless (imo) they committ the crimes that deserves the penalty of death.
She was a nobody really, loads of other people will die today from cancer, but a load of Women will also get diagnosed today by getting off there arse's and going to get checked out, something which Jade deserves credit for. Maybe not to us but to plenty of others she is an inspiration. Her boys will grow up proud of her and rightly so, not for everything she has done but for her bravery and committment to giving her boys the life she didnt have when she was groing up.

Jade Goody died... it is a personal tragedy for her friends and family. It is not, however, a public tragedy that deserves the grieving of the masses as she contributed little of value to society - this is not some altruist like Mother Theresa, or some great artist who inspired the lives of millions we're talking about here. People die every die. Her death may have inadvertently raised awareness of cervical cancer in young women, and that is a positive (possibly the greatest thing she may have ever done for society), but what this whole debacle truly is is reality TV taken to it's logical conclusion - no holds barred voyeurism, even in the face of what should be the most private moment of all... death.
