Depends on map but some things ring true.

*Spot enemies outside of the UAV. Mainly during recharge.
*Drop supplies in heavy taffic areas.
*Play full 64 servers.
*Drop arty on mass groups of soldiers.
*Tell your team when bases are empty, making a cap easier.
*COMMUNICATE with the team; tell them(voice or type) when a vehicle has broken away from main fighting(some squad will always put in an effort to try and stop it)
*If you have a mass fighting contingent and a few  of your guys have broken through to cap a flag, dont dismiss them do everything in your power to help them cap the flag.
*Drop supplies after a squad/players has capped the flag. Always drop them in full Zoom for accuracy.

Think of it this way...The more Intelligence you supply the greater advantage your team will have in battle.

Anyway thats the way I go about it.

A 64 Dragon valley, providing youve got a good team.

However I might need to get contradictory to my 3rd point and say that a 40-45 players Karkand large map could also get the job done. Keeping in mind that you follow my other points.

Just keep trying on a map with lots of flags and lots of people. The more people your team kills the better, the more flags they cap the better.

Your points are based on your team's point. So in essence the more points they score, the more you score. Let them know which flags aren't occupied. Let them know if any enemy squads have broken off to go cap one of your flags. Use your assets as often as you can.

And always remember that you are the commander, not them. Tell each squad what to do. Don't say someone needs to go defend this flag. Say squad 1, go defend this flag ASAP.

like

Enemy Infantry Spotted!

Enemy Infantry Spotted!
Enemy Infantry Spotted!
Enemy Infantry Spotted!
Enemy Infantry Spotted!
Enemy Infantry Spotted!

BF2Craglyeye , thoes are just recomendations right? on how to be a good cmdr. or do you get more pts that way?

the only way I know of pts is the average of your team score divided by the number of players...

I thought you got points for spoting, providing supplies etc, then if you win the round whatever score you got is multiplied by 2.

I've got the Logitech G15 keyboard, and with the BF2 LCD app you get to watch your score increase with every spot/supply etc.

I might be wrong, but that's what I thought it was.

But you get a commander point every time someone kills your spotted infantry :]

Also, I really appreciate it when commanders spot air assets because if I'm in the air I love to know where the enemy aircraft are.

Everyone commands in there own way. My points should help you achieve a higher score

Obviously the more points your team gets, the higher  the average is going to be.

I have heard around, that spotting an enemy that is then killed gives you a point, but regardless, its just good teamwork. (obviously dont spam the airwaves though)
