Recently I've been playing a lot of Support and been using all the different guns. M249 SAW...god damn, does that thing spit lead--900 rounds a minute, it's a full-auto M16A2. RPK-74 is pretty good for a non-unlock, decently accurate, powerful bullets, large 130 round magazine. PKM...well, let's put it this way, same damage as an SVD and probably more accurate, too.
Then we get to the MG36. Disgustingly accurate for an LMG (then again, all HK weapons in the game have that tendency), but with a rather lackluster damage and rate of fire stat. Or so I thought.
It seems that when I switch the MG36 to 3-round burst mode, the bullets get turbo-charged and do way more than the 30 damage they're supposed to do. I'm quite sure it's never taken me more than 3 shots to kill a non-armored kit and certainly never more than 4, ever. Hell, it usually gets the job done in 2 against the unarmoreds.
Then again, it could just be the fact that it's 4 AM, and I do usually play during the wee hours of the morning when my cognitive abilities are burned to the nubbins. So, anyone else notice this about the MG36 or have I just been getting really lucky and running into half-dead enemies?
