The way you worded the poll, I had to check every kind of attack.
Here's what I deem reasonable attacks on UC's while there are cappable flags available.
1. Assault against commander assets, by any means, regardless of map position.
a. Ensuring, by any means, that these assets cannot be repaired.
2. Attacking vehicles fleeing into uncappable zones for repairs/armor.
3. Attacking vehicles or soldiers within reasonable distance of UC's.
4. Suppressing any and all potential airborne threats against yourself and your troops, even if they are still on the ground, unused. (sorry, shoulda already been up there, flyboys. better get to your stingers)
5. Theft of enemy vehicles of any sort. I'm sorry, nobody's ever seen James Bond before?
6. Repeated tracking and slaughter of the enemy commander, freeing your commander's arty strikes for more juicy sectors.
7. Counterstrike against enemy units firing at you with any weapon from within their UC. Just made yourselves fair game!
8. Self defense against any enemy while invading a UC, accomplishing any of the above tasks.
All this sounds fair enough to me. Of course, if the other team is obviously out of their league, you can either be ruthless and end the match as quickly as possible, or ease up a bit and allow them to have a bit of room to stretch their legs for awhile.
