I dont know what to do, I must have reinsatled the game and the expansions about one million times. I keep getting wierd errors, first one I see most, is Punkbuster cant validate me, I tried manualy instaling punkbuster, did not work. The next error is the weapons, now I know full well, all I do is instal BF2, then patch 1.21, then Euro Force, then Special Forces, when I play the game I get the weapon names saying "KILLMESSAGE L6A1 EUROFORCE FIRF BLAH BLAH" and I know I havent touched the Localization files. The next one is not so common, but when I zoom into the distance with my sniper, some map parts go black. WTF DO I DO NOW?

i used to get that before i started using my backup iso that i made form my cds.
im assuming my cd was scratched in a critical place.

Install in this order:
Battlefield 2 > 1.12 full > Special Forces > 1.12 AGAIN > 1.21 full > Euro Forces
That should work. I would also delete any Battlefield 2 folders that you have after you uninstall to ensure a fresh install.

ok....im bringing this topic back up because i am now experiencing the same problem (i searched.. yes i did) ...so...i was playing karkand last night. and UAV, and L9 said KILLMESSAGE_Vehicle_UAV or KILLMESSAGE_weapon_l96a1. is this becuase i havent installed euroforce. this is my current installation path.

Updating your punkbuster
How does this work?
Instead of Battlefield 2 manually and time consumingly trying to do it in game, quickly do it with this easy fix (may not work if its already updated). This tweak will work for america's army and also any other game that uses punkbuster. Punkbuster also changes issues in performance in their patches so it is well worth downloading the latest driver.
How do you do it?
Step 1: http://www.punkbuster.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php visit this site and scroll down to the pbsetup.exe link
Step 2: Either run or save the program
Step 3: Click add game and select "Battlefield 2" (and any other games you have on the list)
Step 4: Click Update
Now for your weapons errors, what type of error's are there exactly ? post up the error message.

Has recently happened to me also. Wanted to play SF but came up with "modified content" errors. I reinstalled and re-patched to 1.22 but now instead of normal L96A1, P90 and UAV names it says stuff like "KILLMESSAGE_L96A10000" as well as "KILLMESSAGE_UAV0" and "KILLMESSAGE_P90444" and stuff.
