so i've had this Toshiba PA1230U-S6C for about a week or 2 and it has windows 95 on it
i want to put a new operating system on it ,probably 98, but i was thinking...
does anyone know any linux distributions that would run on this?
specs are as follows:
# Intel Pentium @ 120MHz
# 1.3GB Hard Drive
# 16MB Memory
# CD Drive

That thing is fricking thicker and older than my old-ass toshiba satellite. Linux can run on anything, my man. I'd recommend xubuntu or Fedora for that thing, if it has a CD drive.

well ubunutu says 256mb of ram and 4gb of harddrive space (guessing fedora is the same)
this shit meets neither
thats why i was asking if there was a low-end version of linux that would run

and im doing it for fun/to learn/experiment, k?

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity.
