I came into work today and one of the three computers we have seems to have a power supply failure.
(all three computers are Dell dimension 2350 running XP pro)
We only need two of the computers to work.

I need a quick fix, so I am thinking I can just swap out either the power supplys or the hard drives.

Since both systems are exactly the same do you guys think I will run into any problems if I swap hard drives or should I sawp the power supply?

Thank you for any replies.

Swap power supplies if you can... they are 100% interchangeable. Hard drives might give you problems if there's even the slightest difference in mobos

I was thinking the same thing even though all three systems are the same make/model I think one system is a few months older than the other.

swapping HDD would be easier is all.

Yeah, it's still only 4 screws so not bad at all.

If it didn't boot, you have to do a repair on windows which takes about 15 minutes...

(fixboot and fixmbr from the repair console)

Just swap the power supplies though, I'm tellin ya.
