Demo's should be optional, decisions like that should be left up to the owner of the company who made it, not the law.

Your looking beyond the problem.
Instead of adding a law as you proposed, why not remove a law, companies will use the new freedom to set their own rules.

They can go get fucked. If we've already paid for the game shouldn't that include the licence to rip music from the game files and listen to it personally when-ever we want imo. The ELUA of a game should include this eventuality.

That's a good question...do you own the rights to the music in the game?  The record companies don't think you do and will try to sell it to you.
