Was doing some searches on Froogle for some accessories for LAN parties, but wanted your opinion before buying anything.

Remove HDD from case; Place somewhere soft, where it won't take any shock. Place Case on rear seating floor, at an angle which it is secure.
I put it at in the rear seat floor behind the passenger seat. Push the seat back and it's secure. For any real trip though, I put it in the case box that still has the foam inserts.
Before transport though, double check all internal screws. A system can take some bumps but if something comes loose and falls out it's much worse.
