After an intermittent period of time playing Far Cry 2, it will CTD, with no errors. I've tried patching, downloaded two patches, one which said my version was more up-to-date than the one I'm trying to install (which it isn't), and the other one said FC2 wasn't installed on my PC.
I've googled a good bit, but nobody seems to know a solid fix. I've tried DX9 instead of 10, lowered graphics to minimum, started a new story without quick saves, but to no avail.
I'm running Vista Ultimate x64. I do get an error saying "Recommended that you upgrade to Service Pack 1" when I start, but I'm unsure if I already am on SP1 or not, since my Vista isn't exactly legit. (Panz).
I don't think it's a driver issue, etc, because I've seen loads of posts on different forums with the same problem. Just wanted to know it the brains at BF2s could figure this out.

If you need anything else just ask. Cheers.
