I did SEARCH, and could not find the homework thread
so i had to make this thread.

Anyway i am completely stumped on this assignment i have to do for Technology and Design.
Help would be appreciated.

Assignment: 1)    As mentioned in class, think about how a belt-drive system with two pulleys can be modified to become an "automatic transmission", starting with high power / low speed at low rpm and "ramping up" to low power / high speed at high rpm. Consider what you learned in science about rotational energy. "Synthesize" (or create) your conceptual plan for such an "automatic transmission". Note: Only after seriously thinking analytically about this idea, should you do a search on the internet or in the library. (20 marks -- Thinking)

the same tech teacher assigned 6 assignments over the weekend (he thinks people like work), this one is the hardest.

The trick is making it automatic.

OR you could try with an expanding pulley, that grows bigger as the speed increases (centrifugal force [I know it dosen't exist]). O>.
