BF2S Forums Buckinghamshire, UK Says 'GTFO' to Google Street View Via Mob

Due to a string of recent burglaries, residents of Buckinghamshire had been on the lookout for any suspicious vehicles nearby—so naturally, the Google Street View car was welcomed to the neighborhood with an old-fashioned mob.

Because of its affluent surroundings and lavish homes, residents were enraged when they saw Google's 360-degree swivel camera taking photos of their homes from the roof of it the car. Immediately, neighbors of Broughton, Buckinghamshire put aside their differences and created a human chain to stop the car, harassing the driver about the "invasion of privacy."

"How dare anyone take a photograph of my home without my consent? I ran outside to flag the car down and told the driver he was not only invading our privacy but also facilitating crime," said Paul Jacobs, the resident who kicked off the resistance.

While the police were called, the residents stood their ground and wouldn't let the Google Street View car pass until the driver turned around and left. As of now, Broughton has yet to be visually graphed on Google Maps.

Last summer, when the team was busy mapping the streets of London for the recent European Google Maps Street View rollout, one of its speedier drivers was pulled over by Britain's finest for a traffic violation.
