Sorry, but this kid is an orphan that was raised in a religious school. His parents had NOTHING to do with it, so stop talking about his parents. It's obvious their religion is to blame, again.

I think we all understand why the kid killed himself.  Our culture doesn't agree with it, their culture in this case may or may not.

And if the kid wanted vengence if his parents died because of this, he got it.

It's a waste of a life and a failure if he was brought up to do this. 

I see your point about causality, but morally it is wrong to indoctrinate a kid and help it happen.  It is wrong to use kids - the other side might not show restraint and consider the entire population as hostile.  If no restraint is shown by the other side, genocide is the result.

I do not draw cultural lines on this issue.  It shows a lack of respect for life by the terrorists (aka the fanatics, not applicable to all of Islam), as well as the inclination to inflict casaulties without regard to noncombatants.

Just imagine if the chinese were occupying your country.. Think about it for a second.. they are driving around in your land with tanks and shit, setting up checkpoints everywhere.. taking people in custody for no reason .. Chosing the kind of governement your country need...

Look at the window right now and imagine that there is a chinese patrol right outside your house/workplace.You can be sure that you would all hate the chinese .. regardless if they are in the military or not.. you would seek vengeance.. And those of you who would not seek vengeance are just sheeps willing to live under any conditions as long as you stay alive.

I can understand why this kid want to kill westerners.. and i don't blame him for it.. i would want to destroy the entire chinese race if they were occupying my country.. Probably not as a suicide bomber but who knows how i would behave if these chinese occupyer had kill my entire family.

And using suicide attacks is nothing new.. the japs did it in WW2.. and they would have use suicide bombers too if the US had invaded the japanese land.

And for those of you falling for the "parents strapping bombs to their kids or putting them into car bombs" propaganda, you need to wake the fuck up.. it's the same kind of propaganda these childs are taught in the religious school.

Whether an orphan or a kid with parents...it's still the same calculus. The entity that was given the responsibility to care for/raise that kid failed him. Period.

I don't care if you're living in an "occupied" country (which neither Iraq nor Afghanistan are, btw). I don't care what religion you're a part of. There is no religion I'm aware of that sanctions allowing/encouraging your children (or those trusted to your care) to kill themselves. For any reason.

A suicide attack by an adult is one thing. Allowing a child to perform a suicide attack is something else altogether. If that 11-year-old wants to strap a bomb to himself in 7 years, have at it. But none of the parties involved that enabled this kid to do that can be justified in allowing that to happen. Period. End of story.

I can't believe any of you are actually defending this shit. It is completely indefensible.

And the Afghanistan war isn't what caused that kid and others like him to believe the way they do. The indoctrination in the madrassas that feeds that blind hatred has been going on for decades...it's nothing new. That reporter is an idiot.
