Hancock failed, so did Transporter 3 and Wanted was average. Shooter was average as well.

New star trek? Any good actors?TuataraDude wrote:

Very nicely done. Geeks/fanboys/Trekkies...be prepared to have the Star Trek universe you have come to love turned upside down, in a good way. One of the biggest problems J.J.Abrams was going to have was dealing with the twats who would say "You can't do that because in episode [place number here] from season [place number here] they had [place situation here that contradicts something in this movie in such a miniscule way but is still brought up by geeks because they have nothing better to do] and so that makes what happened here impossible". Well, they fixed that nicely. I am a big Star Trek fan (but not a ST nutter) and I loved it. Can't wait for future films.
What about non fans?TuataraDude wrote:

I think they will. The whole idea was to attract a new support base and not rely on just fans of Star Trek. Of course it's a little diffucult for me as I am not part of the new demographic they are aiming to draw into the fold. However, from what a few of the people who were there that were not ST fans said, it will appeal to all. Some of the lines will not mean as much to them if they haven't seen it before, but that will not affect the enjoyment of a great story and the start of what I feel will prove to be an excellent new franchise.Spearhead wrote:

I'm not a fan of the shows at all.... seems like a lame Star Wars rip off to me most of the time. But I saw the trailer and I like almost everything JJ Abrams does so... do you think non ST fans will enjoy it as well?
