Pink Floyd, eh, fair enough. I listen to pretty much every genre (I mean that literally, phewee) and classic rock is just a safe 'meh' option. Amazing stuff and all that, but I just don't care for it all that much. I'm never going to champion hip-hop as the best genre- it's probably one of the worst - but that's largely because of mainstream representation and the fact that, for some strange reason, the shit end of the hip-hop spectrum seems to sell well to the teenage kids and the corporate record labels. Underground hip-hop is a lot more like slam/beat poetry and spoken word performances, so I appreciate the lyricism. That's my $0.02.
