Ive got 3 weeks off work in September and wanna go somewhere different, not the usual to Spain etc...

Ive thought about goin the US or Canada but what is there to do for 3 weeks, or how long would it take to do coast to coast?

Idea's please... where shall I go?

If you come to Canada yo definitely do not want to try to go coast to coast unless you really like driving. BC for an active outdoor vacation could easily eat 3 weeks, alternatively Toronto and Montreal (1.5 weeks each) offer a bunch to do in the city. Both are good options, or lots of tourists seem to think so anyways.

As for the coast-to-coast, it depends if you're just driving the whole way or stopping and getting in adventures with slackjawed yokels. I would imagine in 3 weeks you could do a hell of a lot though. If I had that much time, I'd go: New York to Philadelphia, to Washington, to Chicago, to Vegas, to somewhere in California. There's a load of sights to see in those places, along with museums and such (and all sorts of shit in Vegas), but it still seems to me that the whole three weeks wouldn't be filled with just that.
