It has been 3 years since I last had a pair. I need something that will last a while and is not too expensive(if that is possible).

I have heard good things about logitech but am not certain.

Nothing over $100 please, lol.

Logitechs aren't exactly good, but for a budget like that, you don't get anything good. Look into the Z-2300s if you want lots and lots of thumpy bass. 130 at Newegg. If you're looking for good sound instead of lots of sound, look at what .Sup posted.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Dunno 'bout cost, but Cambridge Soundworks make some pretty neat speakers - got mine bundled with an AWE64, never looked back, doubt I'll ever need any new ones (until they break, oc).
