The boat has not been rocking rocking gently in the six counties of late. Anyone who has been paying attention to the International headlines will have noticed that a number of security officials have been killed here in recent weeks; on top of that today the real IRA decided to announce that they were drawing a clear line in the sand, separating themselves completely from the Sinn Fein movement by declaring themselves responsible for the murder of former Sinn Fein politician/spy Denis Donaldson at a public rally today (reminiscent of the romantic days of yore). Now I personally think Donaldson was a traitor who had it coming but this explicit show of strength by the Real IRA today is a worrying display of where we could be heading if we're not careful. What do you think? Are the Real IRA a force to be reckoned with?
