Just so everybody is aware, we are working on a new map. MOAB finished a version, it would be good, but the respawn timer on the new cars isn't correct, and the spawn back way to quick. We'll have to change that.

BUT I am hoping we can run the new map tomorrow.

NEW MAP! NEW MAP! NEW MAP!

We're gonna set up this new map on the server. It'll have 24 cars each side, respawn timers fixed, new background image, boundaries and barriers added, cargo plane empted out for drivability, and finally SEAL's skins and weapons added to some of the SAS kits (Don't ask me why, wasn't my idea!)

Download the new map now, it is a MUST if you want to play tomorrow!!

Tried to join server to check. It's telling me I don't have the map, even though I have DL'ed it twice(one of each version. I can't find the folder it's supposed to be in. Please help!

nick, click the link above. I think you still have the wrong one, mainly because the map above is the one you need. AND IT'S ONLY BEEN DOWNLOADED ONCE BY ME! So, 20+ people out there signed up for this event today better get it downloaded and installed fast.

Once you unzip it, put the folder 'commuter_car_wars' in the xpack directory you installed BF2:

Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\xpack\Levels

If it's not in the directory above, then you must not have it installed? I dunno. If you installed it to the C: drive, it follow the path above, C:/program files/EA Games... etc etc

I downloaded the file a moment ago, went to overwrite the file I had, and I got a message saying the file was corrupt. If you get this error, or if the map isn't working for you and you KNOW you have the newest map, try this:

Instead of overwriting the map with the new version, delete the map (And its folder) and then install the new map and its folder. If THAT doesn't work. Then try replacing the files individually but not the folder so:

- Delete old server.zip, client.zip, and contents of Info folder.
- Copy new server.zip, client.zip and contents of Info folder into all their proper directory.

You have to load into SF to play.

I think the timer failed again, its on a 24 hour clock standard so I set it for 18:00:00 EST which would be 6pm EST right? Maybe DoctaStrangelove can confirm this

I just had a dander on the server, didn't get kicked for PB either .

Noticed a funny thing though. The assault kit on the SAS team has access to three weapons, M16A2, G3 and the F2000, no idea how thats happened as every other kit retains only two. Guessing it has something to do with it being a vanilla kit
