My language is Irish Ulster Scots English. Its essentially English with heavy influence from Scots Gaelic. Although Ulster Scots is now being tauted as a language over here, it is not, its a dialect.
I guess my mate Dan Eggs who lives up the road would give you a good idea what I sound like. Although he lays it on thicker than me.

going wwwaaaaaaaaaaaaay back, German, Gaeilge, Sioux Indian.
That's pretty cool. I can speak Gaeilge no problem but Sioux Indian would be something I'd love to learn.
I've been trying to find a way to learn it, whats really funny is, we've got 2 Indian reservations here, and about 4 people that are around 90 years old that are able to speak fluent Sioux.

They don't even take pride in their goddamn language.
I think the lack of interest in those communities has less to do with lack of interests and more with the fact that many (North) American Indian languages are soooooo fucking hard. They also have very little to almost no relation to other languages, even other American Indian languages of neighbouring tribes.

No. I'm surrounded by them.  They have few goals in life,  Beer, Gambling, makings Kids, spending their government checks.  Now don't get me wrong the select few that actually do something with their life are vastly outweighted by the negative. Not to mention on each Reservation i'm surrounded by there is 14,000 enrolled members.   Maybe a 100 out of 14,000 people that can speak fluent Sioux?  thats not good.

Yes their language is hard, but so is Russian and Chineese.

Here is a sample. yes its wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sioux_language

Its a taiwanesish cantonese accent
I speak chinese cantonese mostly now, but when i was young my grandmother taught me how to speak it with a taiwanese accent..
That's a very interesting part of the part of the world accent-wise. The rising Chinese influence may be an interesting factor in that region when it comes to linguistics. I'm a big believer in keeping all dialects alive.
Yeah it is, I am able to understand both accents when spoken to me, but I only reply in the chinese accent, as I have forgotten my taiwanese accent

Can someone with a Taiwanese accent understand you? I've heard Chinese dialect can vary so much, they are completely irecognizable to one another.
