co axial mg is a 7.62 machine gun mounted on some tanks and stuff im pretty sure.

The coaxial mg is the secondary fire for a tank driver.

Every now and again, for whatever reason, BF2 likes to display the specific weapon that killed you on the vehicle. So instead of saying theotherguy [M1A2] you, it says either what you saw, or if he used the main gun, it would have said something like theotherguy [120 mm Canon] you

Ok, checked those links posted above and it's all very nice.  But does anyone know what causes these weird gun names to show up, now that we know they do occasionally occur?
