no. 3 happens the most and is the only one to happen in the recent week, which makes it a strong contender for my condition. what is O/S privileges? what should i do now? please help.

ok the first thing is a problem with the server who has lag or you have lag. lag is that your connection is slow and  thats why you see the soldiers walking weird and stuff. ping is your connection 0-150 is ok 150-200 may cause lag 200-300 your are gonna lag for sure the 2nd thing is your connetion i explained ping thats the same and the 3th one dunno.

Ping is a basic Internet program that lets you verify that a particular IP address exists and can accept requests. The verb ping means the act of using the ping utility or command. Ping is used diagnostically to ensure that a host computer you are trying to reach is actually operating. 1. & 2.) Ping: pings is a measurment of the time it take information to travel across the internet from your computer to in this case the game server. It is measured in miliseconds (ms). If you live in the US and try playing on a server in Europe even if you have a fast connection you will normally have a higher ping than if playing on a server near you. However if your connection is extremely slow you may need to upgrade your service in order to game online effectively. And because you have a slow or unstable connection you have the probelm of losing connection to the server like you described in #1. If you are gaming on a cable or dsl connection I would recommend contacting your provider and make sure that your connection is working up to standards. If you are trying to game on a phone line, Stop, because you are wasting your time, you will only continue to be frustrated because a dialup connection can not support the amount of info that must be sent and recieved to play effectively.

3.) The inadequate O/S privileges error is because you are running Windows XP or 2000 on a "limited" account rather than an "Administrator" account. whoever runs/or maintains your system must set you up with an "administrator" account in order to play bf2 online. The default install for XP is an "administrator" account so someone has changed your user settings to a "limited" account. The other possiblity is that someone has modified your account in other restrictive way other than changing the account type and therefor restricting the access of BF2 to files that it may need.
