Its not really the same thing to be honest, curry (i know its just an example but still) is something thats still a pretty uncommon thing to eat. Personally i have one or maybe two a month. Besides i think the influence of globalised food chains is a much bigger thing than the merging of several different cultures and societies. Most of those shops are private small shops anyway so it's not quite the same. If loads of Americans went to other places and started up lots of private small American burger shops etc.. that would be completely different than McDonalds coming into down.
I just don't like seeing big chain stores coming overseas from other countries, especially when those chain stores are such a symbol of a country like how McDonalds and Starsucks is to the USA, to end up setting up shop in places like Russia and China, it's sad and funny.
