That happened to me last week on single player. I forgot which button was for my chute and before I knew it, splat. One Dead Downy, waiting to respawn.

It's like the guy who jumped from 8000m to celebrate his 8000th jump. The parachute only slightly opened so he goes falling out of the sky at like 150km/h I think it was. Then he is the luckiest SOB in the world and lands in some huge bush and "Only" has a punctured lung and a wreaked leg. But he's alive thank God.

I rebound my parachute to Alt, makes these incidents happen much less.
