Sometimes when I play sniper, I hide in a bush, some tall grass, etc. and zoom in and I can't see shit. I hate how bushes and grass don't move at all when you're sitting in them. These shouldn't be static objects and should move when in physical contact with another object. This may drop performance though... What do you guys think?
well when you clip through the bush to be right in front of it... as long as your target is directly ahead, you're almost impossible to see. The main problem is when you are spotted from the side and the biggest give away is that damn red tag.
Having played a lot as a sniper, if I hear that shot near by i don't bother even looking for him i just focus on the bushes for a few seconds each and if a bush screams "OVER HERE I'VE AN ENEMY SNPER HIDING UNDER ME" then I zoom in POP and he's gone

I dunno if they'll spend netime in this. Because whenever someone complains from sniper fire I hover over the bushes to check for a red tag, if something comes up i shoot
The red tag nonsense has to go. Keep your friendly tags, but autospotting is ridiculous, at least against enemy infantry.

no much you can do about the tag, as it is a game.... and again its a game, so movin bush's... pfft too much to run for little gain. Nest you'll sugest that we should be able to climb up trees to snipe...

Warlord has some good brush to hide in. It's great when you're sniping and the enemy keeps passing by your position without even knowing.
The problem is the BF(2) engine. Like in the previous version, the first person camera is inside your stomach when you are prone. This avoids the odd moving forward while going down, but it causes such things like being killed around a corner without seeing the enemy.
Be very careful when hiding in the grass. There is 2 types: 2D grass and 3D bushes. The big problem is that when hiding in 2D grass, you may think you are invisible but this is not the case. In fact it is a big disadvantage to you! 2D grass is not rendered after a certain distance ( I would say above 75m). That means everyone farther can see you quite clearly but YOU have grass blocking your view. Have you ever noticed some times when you are scoped and you see another sniper prone in the middle of nowhere. You are thinking "what is he doing there?" Well he is hiding in the "grass" just like you.
Never hide in 2D grass!!!
Never hide in 2D grass!!!
Joint Ops was a good game, you could hide all day in grass and snipe, good times
