I noticed that if you use an old localization file (leet kyle's in my case) the map briefing for Op. Blue Pearl and the button text for the Falcon settings will be messed up.
Yikes, what they did to Tampa is terrible. I always thought that it was supposed to be the one map for massed tank vs tank battles and it had potential, despite the fact that it was too big and that they failed to see the concept through and put in jets.
Now they have completely abandoned that concept, making it EVEN BIGGER and putting in 4 attack choppers. What's the point? The map has gone from being a good idea to fill an obvious gap in the map repertoire to becoming totally redundant - yet another oversized rape map for aircraft, as if we didn't have enough of them. D'oh!
BF2 needs an armour-only map with several tanks on either side. It would be something different. The only map like that is Taraba 16-player, and I haven't seen that map on a server ever.
Secondly, regarding the hitreg: I played on a UK server yesterday with ping of 19 and my bullets were passing harmlessly through my enemies. Then I played on a US server with ping 115 and I got good enough hitreg to pick up the gold.
Bizarre? I certainly thought so.

This is exactly why i like Songhua. At map start there are 2 tanks and 8 apc's with two more apc's to come and no attack choppers or jets to rape you. Not to mention all the trees and fog provide ample cover for armour and infantry. And the transport choppers keep rounds dynamic and flowing. Granted i'm sure you're talking about more tanks then apc's but i usually go for Jalalabad for tank fun.Nihil wrote:

Did anyone else noticed that sometimes if you select a server and u press join it just jumps back instead of loading?
And anyone else had instant crash after the map is loaded? Crash back to the server list! Had this during gameplay too.

everything works fine for me...and im loving the new hiterg crap...can really notice it with the M249. But what is that falcon control all about?
4 attack helis? the map is now ruined. like you said, it was nice to have a wide open armor fest, with no worries of aerial death every two seconds. at least the jets are only good for a couple passes before they have to re-arm... now we have 16 chances to die before the heli has to re-arm.Nihil wrote:

The falcon controller does nothing more than fuck up ur jet controls so you have to re assign them every time you start a game, its the only thing i hate about this patch it HAS to be fixed, the prone delay thing I prefer it how it was (0.3) it really takes the feel away from the game and makes the controls choppy and feel laggy sometimes it feels like im playing at 10fps its not smooth at alldavid363 wrote:

I cant join a server and after 20 times of trying to connect it finally connects. After 2 minutes of gameplay i got INSTANT CRASH to the menu!
No idea why coz i played on diff servers and ofc i play pearl maps only. I could play one entire round without problems!

wow judging from what im reading. there are a lot of mistakes for a beta.
Have you guys noticed that some wood boxes what are on the ground are sometimes in a house wall or half in a stone. Do they drop this things random when they make a map? Is it the same like grass on concret on Dalian airfield, dragon airfield hangar or what?
Why cant they give an attention if the make a map? Anyway im collecting bugs and all sort of stuff (pics and vids)
