Things that do not need nerfing:
J10, Attack Helis,

Things that do not need to be made more powerful:
AA, Essex, F35,

Things that definitely need fixing:
Hitreg,

Things that could possibly be nerfed:
Nades:
2 nades per kit + 1 nade PER AMMO PACK

Clays:
Smaller Radius, Destructible

Things that need improvement:
Movement:
Make similar to 1.12, i.e. the full range of movement, but without jumping + shooting.

Bugs/fixes from 1.50:
Operation Blue Pearl:
Change the boundaries like this:

Kinda similar to Leviathan.
Also: 2 cars for USMC in uncap and maybe a car or two @ harbor/construction for PLA
Allow commanders to drop vehicles.

Disable Falcon by defaut and fix the overwriting of secondary controls with Falcon controls every time a game is joined (eg when aircraft controls are bound to mouse + joystick, Falcon overwrites the joystick).
Require a checkbox on the controls page to enable Falcon - so that the 99% of users who don't use Falcon don't have Falcon binds present by default.

the guy who said that on the forum has a good point. nades do ruin IO, but on conquest maps everyone is either in a vehicle or are playing AT. If you want to play medic and be useful to your team then you will need the nades.

It's really not that bad of a game. The only glaring problem is hitreg. They don't need to nerf anything or revert back to earlier versions. Just fix the hitreg (if possible) and give us the new map.

I don't see why people are freaking out over a patch that's still in beta...

well actually there is. IO in general is horrendous for nades. small team sizes + all medic + lots of nades = spam on any map.

But I honestly don't see DICE putting in so much effort as to go and nerf nades in IO but not in conquest. And the heart of bf2 is conquest so if they can't be selective I'd rather they just keep nades as they are.

It's EA/DICE. You are probably setting your standards too high. I expected it (the patch) to be shitty and buggy, but I didn't expect the community to go crazy over it. Still, it's absurd to say that a beta patch sucks (it is by definition incomplete). Yes, reverting controls to aN add-on 99% of the community don't have is stupid - but that's why they release beta patches - so those errors can be found and fixed.

I agree with all you've said apart from those two what's quoted up here. Why?
- The F35 can do with a little improvement for the turns and afterburner. Not to mention allow it to actually dodge missiles.
- The nades are fine. No need to whine about them.
- The blackhawks can definitely be improved a little like they were on the earlier patches .

My biggest problems with BF2 are hitreg, grenades, and claymores.

So:
Fix hitreg, at least to some degree.

Keep the same number of starting nades, but I like the idea of only getting 1 extra per ammo pack.

Instead of having 2 claymores, snipers have 1 claymore, and 1 single medkit, or maybe just 1 claymore...and claymores should be destructable and have a smaller area to set them off. I'm sick of seeing claymores through doorways, purposely avoiding going through, and still having it blow up and kill me if I walk by 5 feet out from the door that it's INSIDE.

Plus, since C4 has been nerfed to hell, I think Spec Forces could use 1 single claymore.

In BF2's current state, I think a chimpanzee trained only to run around and drop claymores could probably average a 2.0 KDR on Karkand IO...
