Hundreds of customers were angry to find out the Popeye’s in Minneapolis was not offering a national promotion.

For Earth Day, Popeye’s was offering eight fried chicken pieces for $4.99.

The homemade signs on the door at the Popeye’s in Minneapolis said it wasn't honoring a nationally advertised special.

They were offering nine pieces for $9.99

The line for tht out the door.

A half-dozen Minneapolis cops showed up to settle the crowd down.

The store told FOX 9 that is was a local franchise decision.

Customers say this is not the first time the franchise has refused to honor a nationally advertised special.

Hmmm.

Maybe the head corporation didn't reduce the cost of the birds during the time of the promotion, or something.

Not like those places are buying from the local grocery. The head corporation controls the product cost and availability.

Im glad Ive just had a Bacon and Sausage bap for brekky at my desk, 1st we have a Bacon thread and now a Chicken thread, Im still hungry, Im going to eat chocolate hob nobs.

I would be pissed off if my local take away wasnt following suit of all its national brothers/sisters. Why the fuck should I miss out. Cunts the lot of em.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity.
