Alright, I have a theory on why there's such a low ROF for the FN P90. If you look at the wiki, (ahhh the wonderful wiki the source of almost all answers to life, pertaining to BF2 at least) compare the FN P90 to the H&K MP7. They have exact same stats for every single aspect of the guns except for ROF, Mag size, and extra clips carried. So.... For balance purposes, I'm assuming that they made the ROF for the P90 on the P90, 600 rounds per min is to make it so that the MP7 isn't so sucky in comparison. Think about it, would you rather a gun with 4 bullets or 50 bullets? If the P90 did have the 900 ROF that it should have then there would be almost no reason to use it. The only reason I believe that the P90 didn't get welcome arms was because of all the DAO users who swear to their lives on that shotgun.

But... If the P90 is as accurate as the MP7 and people praise the MP7 then where's the praise for the P90? Huh? MP7 lovers I'm looking at you...

I'm doing this because honestly I want a response and a sensible review of the P90, other than the fucking SMG sucks balls use the fucking DAO. Or the ROF sucks balls on this gun, it just SUCKS. If a 600 ROF sucks then pretty much every assault rifle and carbine in this game sucks... So guys, just honestly tell me how this thing fairs other than saying it SUCKS, or something.

i have used it a bit and i quite like it. its not as bad as everyone reckons. if i am going in a one on one with some other guy unless its an support gun then i usually come out on top.

Personally, I don't care for it, and it really isn't that big of an improvement over the other SMGs. I like the MP7 because it gives Engineers a rapid fire, longer (comparatively, at least) range weapon. I'm sure the P90 is a decent gun, but it just wasn't as compelling as the L96A1 or G36E.

mp7 is great because it is relatively accurate, decent damage and has a giant clip, all of that given to a class that only had shottys before

the p90 is not an enough of an improvement on the default guns for its class, it would be a great gun except for its ridiculously low rate of fire

the dao is a crappy gun too because, as with all shotguns, it has no range. however, the dao enjoys a glowing reputation because a lot of players cant shoot at range anyway and so rely on bumping into guys running around corners and spazzing out with the clicks, a strategy that the dao makes possible

i have always used the default gun when playing the anti-tank class, i am yet to unlock the p90 but have used it quite a lot, i tend to think that once i have the opportunity to use it every spawn i will stick with it, but it will never be as good of an upgrade as the mp7 nor will it ever satisfy the spaz-n-blast dao faithful

strangelove, actually u have a point there. the fact that the P90 has only a upped clip size ranging from either 5 bullets or 20 is the only thing it has going for it other than the laser scope. but it is still slightly more accurate than the base SMG's and i think that's wat it has going for it, also the spec-ops players can agree with me that the laser-scope is much more easier to place shots than most other things.

Not gonna lie guys, i haven't tried either of these guns, but i'm most likely going to unlock the P90, i just wanted opinions from those of you who have it, or have extensively tested it.

In my opinion, you usually have to catch a guy offgaurd or low health to get kills with either gun. In a head to head battle at a decent range, any other gun except for a shotty or a pistol will walk all over both the P90 and the MP7. I would like to see EA do an addition thing kinda like SOCOM 3. You can put all kinds of goodies on your gun but it makes you heavyier and slower. In battlefield, it could simply make your sprint shorter. I would love to have a G3 with a lazer scope and silencer.

The MP7 is nice, but I hate the relatively few amount of clips. I'll take the M11 over it any day, if only for the fact that I can kill with one shell per person.

I actually prefer the MP5 now, unless I need a CQB weapon (DAO). The P90 is ok, but I don't like the ROF. It seems like it shoots slower than the MP5. I know the stats say differently, but I know my preference...That and the fact that it took 20 shots on single to take down an enemy 50ft away...I did not have a great view, so I'll give 5 of those to my own stupidity, but still...

the uhhhh ROF for the MP5 on the wiki is 900 RPM and the P90 is only 600 RPM so.... I think the wiki says the MP5 shoots faster...
