isnt the ammo of Mounted MG and PKM .50 cal? just like the M95
No. The MEC mounted MG is a RPK. The RPK is 5.45mm. The PKM is 7.62mm. The PLA mounted MG is the Type 95, same as their basic support weapon, which is 5.8mm. The Marine mounted MG is the SAW, which is 5.56mm.

The only weapons that have the same round as the M95 are the HMMWV/Vodnic/NJ2046/DPV/FAV, gunners weapon on the M1/T90/Type 98.

The co-axial gun (The machine gun mounted next to the cannon) is 7.62 just in case anyone is wondering.

That is correct. The coax next to the main gun weapon is 7.62mm on all the MBT's in BF2. But saying that, don't get the coax confused with the mounted MG, cause the coax is not considered a mounted MG.

I hate to be a prude about it, I really do. It's just the real life armor whore coming out in me. Blame the U.S. Army.

The RPK is 7.62x39mm. The RPK-*74* is 5.45x39mm.

I'm pretty sure the Ma Duce is on the Abrams, HMMWV, etc., the Kord is on the Vodnic, T90, etc., and possibly the Type 98, etc.

That's because the PKM is the mounted gun on the foreign vehicles, although the mounted version is a bit stronger than the handheld version.  The mounted PKM can also go through windshields.
No it isn't. The PKM is not chambered 12.7mm(.50cal). The weapon on the T-90/Type 98/FAV/NJ2046/Vodnik is basically a NSV(T) 12.7mm AAMG, not a PKM. A PKM is a 7.62mm weapon.

No, it is the M240 that is mounted on American tanks, which is not to be confused with the M249, they are almost completely different.  The M240 is the mounted weapon of choice for the U.S.  The Kord or PKM is what is mounted on top of the T-90, only the tank mounted version is called the PKMT.

oh god, pretty soon knives will be able to be thrown and blow up tanks!

EDIT: the guns on the tanks and vehicles in BF2 are .50 cals. I don't know about in real life but they are in the game.

Next thing you know, the PKM will be able to one-shot kill a tank....

I killed a Cobra gunner with an Eryx...thank you Eryx...

_j5689_ The M240 is the coaxial mg., the tank commander gets a .50 M2 HB, and the loader gets a M240...Right?

funny thing started happening actually, i've been one-hitting attack choppers on daqing recently, just one ERYX or SRAW and *BOOM* one down attack chopper and two kills....

Anyone else notice this too? (It was a direct hit to the bottom of the heli every time.)

Hmm...true, closer inspection does show that it's the FN MAG. I think it would be insulted to know it was compared to the M249.
