which is still like 100x worse than having legal CDkey. I know a lot of people who eventually bought legal copy of BF2 after they got bored from playing on private ranked pirate servers.

Thats exactly what I did with UT2004 when it came out, and a few other games, just downloaded them and played on crack servers, then realised how good the game is so I just bought it, if I was the game companies I wouldnt worry about people downloading pirate games because crack servers are like a demo anyway, they just tease you and make you want to play on more servers, suppose nothing can be done about someone downloading and playing single player though but thats boring lol

Wrong thread I know...  But didn't want to start a new thread....

I installed 1.50 and now I want to go back to 1.41. I already reinstalled 1.41 but the game still see's only 1.50 servers.

What is the process for getting 1.50 out of my system, so I can get back to 1.41?

AFAIK, there is no way.
You should have made a backup of your whole BF2 1.41 installation folder before patching to 1.50.
That way you could have switched between versions by simply renaming the folders and editing the registry key for the version number.

You now know what to do after your clean reinstall.

I'd just do a full uninstall and then reinstall and patch to 1.41. There may be a better way though that doesn't involve a reinstall.

This works, but only if you made copies of your BF2 program folder and your profile folder before you installed 1.5. I just used it to go back to 1.41 and it worked.

Click START>RUN
Type: regedit
Go to (in Vista its different): HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2
There you will see a key called Version. It should say 1.50
Change this to 1.40 and close regedit
Run Battlefield 2 as normal
