as stated in the title i have just gotten my new laptop today and i must say that i am exhilarated by it, finally i will be able to play most new games in at least medium graphics and older games like bf2 on the highest settings (even though it's running PR hehe)
one of the things i'm happiest about is the screen resolution which is 1680x1050 on a 15,4" screen, so i will be able to have better overview when creating 3D models and managing other things.
anyway the specs of my Nox A15 Power :
4 GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC6400 800MHZ
DVD-RW / CD-RW SATA
Keyboard DK - Black
WSXGA+ 1680x1050 with Ultra Crisp panel
9 Cell Battery
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo P8400 - 2,26GHz, 1066MHz FSB, 3MB Cache
NVIDIA® Geforce 9650M GT 512MB GDDR3 (20% faster than the standard 9600 gt)
250GB 7200rpm SATA Harddisk
Intel Pro/Wireless 4965AGN 300Mbit
total: 1000£ or 2100 $
the cost is a bit higher than it would usually be due to the design of the laptop and because it's a danish company that designed it.
i do realise that a desktop would have been better in all aspects both price and what it's going to be used for, but it's gonna be used 6 hours a day at least for school work (not including homework) and that is the reason i choose to pay for the extra design element (and it was the most powerfull 15,4" i could get within my budget)
