Yes I know this post will be shitty, but I'm asking you to pardon me, because I'm simply can't stand watching a movie or reading a book and being left with questions.

Anyway, X-Men 3 finally aired on the tele in Holland today. I think it is actually better than 1 and 2, but some things got me scratching my head:

1. Why on earth did Woverine kill Jean? I'd expected he'd do a typically Wolverine trick and plug her with the cure.
2. Why did Charles blame Wolverine in the first place? He only said hi and she woke up by herself.

I also thought it was lame Rogue finally did decide to get the cure, because now she can't properly be 'soulmates' with Wolverine, but that's minor.

1. Jean Grey was turning into the Dark Phoenix. Dark Phoenix was a crazy biotch who was out of control. The only cure to date is Adamantium claw strike to the gut.

2. With the help with Dr X, Jean was constantly trying to suppress Dark Phoenix within her. Dark Phoenix had a thing for Logan while Jean Grey had a thing for Cyclops. There is more to this but did not look into it very much since x3 was kinda meh to me

To the first one -- probably because Phoenix would have just destroyed the cure within her own body. My guess. To the second? Chuck was pretty pissed off about the whole thing and Wolverine was against locking down Jean's mind. He could have called the Prof to get in there but never did. So yea ...

I'm actually pretty sure Jean Grey had a thing for Logan as well, both in the old TV series as well as in the movies. Don't know about the comics though.

Three year old movie is three years old. Are spoiler tags really necessary? Chances are someone's going to be talking about plot points in a thread about it.

I don't know why anyone sweats it. Marvel always changes their own story around anyhow, and I thought that's how things were going in the comics before X1 was out.
