As i just said to Baggs on Xfire that would of been the clever thing to do, so no i didn't .Sup mate, more fool me, its OK I'll install /reinstall, at least i have the 1.41 patch already downloaded.

first rename the beta patch to something else so you don't have to repatch when you feel like playing it again

in UK? I'll prob get a ping of 200+

I will probably get really shi- ping if I play, will try it sometime, might play later tonight, but unlikely.

I got an e.mail back from Rackage this morning and Gonzo said it was a firewall issue and assures me the server can now be found via server search in BF2.

As for pings, it high ping kicks at 350. When we had rackage servers before, some of our American friends used to get pings around 110/140.

Is there any reason for the lack of interest in this server from the community it was created for? Yes I understand it doesn't suit the needs of players outside the EU due to ping reasons but I expected more uptake, at least 7/8 regulars.

I got back from a day out to find the server busy with around 20/22 people playing, checked back an hour or so later and the server emptied out due to a clan using our server to glitch into walls and generally grief the entire server. (Judging from the chat logs).

So the obvious solution is to find a small solid bunch of players willing to help admin the server. I will grant kick facilities to anyone who seems clever enough not to abuse it and who are a respected member of BF2s.

I already have a few from BF2s on board but the more the merrier, anyone who was associated with the previous EU servers will be welcomed by me to help out also. I need as much help as possible to make this a successful community server, the goal is to provide a place to play where its regular player base can have a direct influence on how their favourite server is run.

baggs mate I'll be on as much as I can, but I have a young son & a pregnant girlfriend  so it may be after 10pm most nights so if some of the US guys wanna goof about then I'll try to be on.
