All you do when posting in these sports threads is nitpicking, I don't think you've ever positively contributed to any of them.

If you're that bored to just come in and post for the sake of it, then don't. We all know how you don't like sports, stop reminding us. Do all of us a favour and don't post in them.

Gutted you don't share the buzz and I can't fully explain how it feels.  I fully believe its in my blood and obviously something I'm very passionate about.

The best I can do as a supporter is cheer my team on, or boo the other team to help ours, I'd put the Jersey on if required but thankfully our injuries don't stretch that far.  Thats why its a 'we/us' thing, we are part of our clubs, we take the highs with the lows, you can change the manager, the players, the stadium, the kit, the crest the whole fucking lot but never ever will you change a true fan.  I would watch my team with as much love and passion with only 3k other fans, as I used to.

Gutted, I don't have a ticket for this weekend's game against West Ham, first home game I've missed in fucking ages, and it's potentially the game that could secure OUR Premiership status.
If we do I'll just have to do all my celebrating at the Wigan game...

I think it would be a bit harsh if yourselves or Hull came back down, I know you get grief over the 'delap' throw but Id fucking use it to its full potential aswell.  A goal is a goal regardless of what happened before it went in.  League tables don't lie and you have been high enough to avoid the drop all season I think it would be very harsh if you fucked up now, bit like us, we have been in the play'offs for ages but the only table/weekend that counts is the last one.

Huddersfield were in the play'off's of this league the season before it got called what it is now, Bruce was the manager, they only dropped out once all season, the very last week, following season relegated, gutted.

I reckon you have more chance next week vs Wigan as the 'ammers are after Europe arn't they?

Yeah the Hammers are after a Europa League spot (lol), and we need a win to guarantee our safety, tbh I not sure how we'll do, I'm always a bit of a pessimist when it comes to predict our results.
I'm pretty sure we're staying up now anyway, and am just glad that all the twats who wrote us off at the start of the season as being worse than Derby have had their comeuppance!
In regards to the whole Delap throw in saga, he used it last season and not much was said. It's just because we got a few early goals of it and all of a sudden we had Premiership defenders shitting themselves whenever there was a throw. And of course now the Stoke faithful have latched on we hype it up even more, it's as much to wind up the morons who moan about "it's not proper football, blah, blah blah..."

It's on tomorrow.... La Liga decider and potentially the decider for the Chelsea - Barcelona...

How can you miss that out? Probably the 3rd biggest clash of football teams in the world.

Spaniards P1 and P2 on the grid for the Jerez Moto GP, how hard will they be going for a home win?  After Lorenzo's showing in Japan, I think he may snatch another win.  But never discount Stoners Ducati or The Doctors Yamaha.  Maybe even Pedrosa from P2 if he can overcome the physical pain of his injuries (his skin graft and shit).

Well what a crock of shite this thread turned out to be for me:

Cardiff City bottled it, time for a new manager I reckon.  We needed 3 points from our last 4 games and couldn't do it.
Cardiff Blue - Went out on a penalty shoot out (yep Im talking rugby)

I came out of retirement to play cricket for our 1sts, havent netted all winter and usually play in the 4ths.  I got twattted all over the place, lbw 1st ball and today I'm walking like John Wayne after he has shat himself due to using muscles I ain't used to.

I fucking hate sport its a twat at times.

Yeah unlucky mate, bit harsh the way your lot ended up missing out on the playoffs like.
Looks like we may well make another move for Ledley now, do you reckon he's worth some of the figures that have been banded about, and will he be able to make an impact in the Prem?

And yeah I hear ya' about the coming back into cricket without much practice, even tho to a lot of people it don't look like your doing much you can fucking be crippled for days after with muscle pain lol.

All I can say in regards to the play off's is the very best of luck to all 4 teams as they do deserve it more than us, we bottled it big time when it counted, they didnt.  Other stupid mistakes through the season cost us, allowing Birmingham to equalise in the 94th min at St Andrews, and Readings keeper doing the same in the 92nd spring to mind.  I'd like to see Preston make it the most but good luck to all of them.

Ledley is a cracking player, 20+ international caps, 200 appearances for us, scores excellent goals (fa cup qtr and semi last season), an fa cup finalist, Cardiff captain recently, I can't remember him being sent off but stand to be corrected, I think he's only 22.  He's worth £5m, I reckon, but I'd let him go for £4m.  I'd take a gamble on him for that much from what I have seen in a Wales or Cardiff shirt and he's a nice guy off the pitch aswell.  Good luck to him in the premiership next season, I'd also take a punt on Roger Johnson, CB, very strong, rarely sent off, scores from corners and free kicks, captain material, he's worth £3m-£4m.  Ross Mcormack (CF) is worth £5m aswell, prem teams didnt go for him in the summer, we did and he's one of the leagues top scorers.

I get these aches in September from hockey and May from cricket, but its nothing compared to playing snooker once every 10 years, that fucks me right up.

Hopefully Preston go up, then I can go see some prem action next year for reasonably cheap. (Student you see), Preston is only a 10 min train journey from me at uni.

Except I haven't got a season ticket and I'm not gonna sit in the away stand and cheer for United am I, also theres so few away tickets that they'll all be bought via the clubs ticket office. So, no Skittles, I shouldn't be at Old Trafford more, that and it costs quite a bit on train there, food etc. Money I don't have. Preston is just down the road.

You don't need a season ticket, sometimes matches go on general sale and there's also the club membership I think, every club in the PL pretty much has a membership scheme where you can buy tickets for matches, it's not like everyone in the stadium owns a season ticket. For the high profile games they're only for members and for other games they can be on General sale. I've been to  Craven Cottage, Old Trafford* for PL games and never needed nothing cos they were on general sale. Or one of my mates was a member and managed to get multiple tickets with one membership

And there's no way you'd be sitting in the away stand, ever. The only people that are generally allowed to sit in the away stand are season ticket holders for the away club, so yeah if you wanted to sit with the away Man Utd fans at their away games you'd need to be a season ticket holder for Man Utd

But yeah I suppose it's all way easier getting a ticket to a Preston game if they get into the PL, but even then you'll 99% have to probably be a member of Preston to get a ticket if the game is against Man Utd or Arsenal etc.. but if the game is against someone like Wigan than it'll most likely go on general sale

*Still haven't been to Emirates Stadium or White Hart Lane or Upton Park or Stamford bridge though
