You can do that if it's what works for you, what works best for me is flying 2feet off the ground while staying mobile. Jets bother me less, i'm harder to hit by TV missiles and armor usually never sees me coming.

Uhh no you wouldn't, i fly without a gunner quite a bit (when nobody gets in) and i certainly don't need one to take care of enemy choppers.
That's because a good majority of chopper you end up against out there arent very good. If a buddy and I were to go against you, by yourself, you would either a) get tv'ed(most likely scenario) or b) the added power of my gunners machine gun to my missles would give me the advantage.

Question though. Do you have a problem with people who don't script solo tv missle? Because I do it the old fashioned way of f2, right click, fire.

you play 200h+ as sniper
you have 1500+ teamkills
the answer is= Your a sniper all the time so you can blow ppl out of the choper with m95s all the time.

im not 100% sure if im right, but it looks like it

This rotate shot thing was very easy and very effective before 1.2 patch, now the missiles have 400m range that means you have to get close to the ground and be seen by others. Its not worth to do it unless server full of cant hit shit gunners. Give the gunner a chance if he cant hit anything and tries to get into the chopper again take him to the border and let him die they usually jump though

Would you rather go in the air with someone you don't know...and may suck at Gunning and you have to resort to shooting him down with Missles at an unsafe distance where you probably get rammed or maybe shot down. Or know you can fly and gun both very well and don't have to worry, because you know you can kill everything 300m out by yourself. Theres nothing wrong with this...You need to smarten up.

It's still lame because whoever you do it to has to do the same to fight you. It's about the degradation of chopper fights, all they are now is TV wars. Sorry, i enjoy getting in right close and blasting each other with rockets

My average is 5 tk's a day, thats a lot?? 4% of my kills are tks, and to be honest a lot of htat comes from playing with friends and we like to tk each other quite a bit

I'm not going to lie tho, i have tked for the chopper when i know the guy is a complete noob who will go tree humping 5seconds after taking off. I also like stealing the enemy chopper and the M95 comes in handy for that.

What really grinds my gears is when i ask a noob (judging by his rank) to hop out of MY chopper (which should only be used by experts) and they reply NO.

I have recently discovered the joys of solo piloting/gunning an attack chopper. It is the best thing to ever happen to me. I can, and will, take out an entire company of armor, attack chopper and AA stations, alone, with my black and white TV screen.

I have been banned twice from noob servers who thought i was hacking. To my knowledge there are no hacks that work with punkbuster. So it is really annoying when people start calling you HaXoR or whatever because they are crying and getting killed too many times, not realizing what had hit them.

This one guy says he says "...noone is that good hotswitching in chopper...your cheating..."

And no. I take oout other attack choppers FIRST, because their pilot is a noob who thinks its cool to fly as close to the ground as possible. LOL. I pity the fools. I look at EVERYTHING from 250-350 meters above ground...ALL my VICTIMS!!!

F2, right click, Double click Left, guide...wait...see their noob faces...BOOM, F1, pull up, scan for next target...

1) The game hasn't been out 2 years....

2) Just because someone has not chosen to get those badges does not mean he sucks. The topic here is choppers... if we look at those stats, I would say you are far less credible than Primacord.  Tha last thing I would say about Primacord is that his stats suck ... LMAO

What about if you are solo in the Mec chopper? Like nobody on your team wants to gun. Then you have to solo tv because the rockets on that thing don't frigin shoot straight.

I can understand if a solo PLA and USMC chopper end up against each other. It's more fun to have a 1 on 1 rocket battle. But it's rare that both sides have just one person in it.

I'd still use it's rockets, they are not that bad once you get used to them. What you do with it is up to you, i just think it's a cheap tactic. It's just another point click weapon that requires no piloting skill.

The real sad thing is that pilots and gunners both get ranked in the same category; they should be seperate.

Maybe they should unnerf copters and put rockets back to having 12round pods with some splash damage (like in SF). It's pretty retarded that you have to nail an infantry dead on with a rocket, granted tho, it's certainly helped refine accuracy. If rockets were better maybe people would rather use them over TV whoring.

I would also mention that its not the number of kills you have, its the ratio. If you really do fly alone most of the time you should be getting alot more kills relative to your deaths. (My kills are almost entirely from piloting by the way).

Come on now. Solo tv'ing with the Mec against a USMC chopper isn't cheap. Take for instance todays situation. My team had zero gunners on sharqi. So I decided to fly alone. Well the chopper on the USMC team had a good gunner and a good pilot. I pretty much didn't stand a chance all by myself with that fog. I didn't even manage to kill them once. They killed me maybe 8 or 9 times. All tv missles too. I couldn't do anything in that hunk of junk. Then next map is Oman. I proceed to solo tv. Again, I'm the only one who wants it. I proceed to tv them 5 or 6 times before they quit and use jets on me. I knew I was better than them and the only way to beat them was if I tv'ed them first. And I did. It's not always a cheap tactic.

I agree that pilot and gunner stats should be seperate. My K/D ratio of 2.9 is misleading. One of my buddy's is at almost 4 and I fly way better than he does. Kinda sucks when you go 11-2 in a round and your gunner goes 80-2 as if he is the tits at flying.

I'm just amazed you all can get into a chopper or plane without getting tk'd! You get assists though when your gunner is racking up the points,  and driver points. You shouldn't just think of yourself about getting a better this a better that, think of the fun you're having as a chopper team blowing the crap out of everyone.

We're not complaining. We just think it'd be nice to have two separate categories so you can see how good you are at both aspects. My K/D ratio is much better when I gun but I can never know to what extent. It'd be nice to know.
