new teeth?

ooooo.

i need two front teeth done soonish, so i think i'll end up getting something similar. havn't read much into it tbf.

im like the anti-you .5, i was born with a tooth

not surprised. i had my hand wired together, and that was a bitch. pretty sure a jaw would be about a zillion times worse.

Probably just bruising, I'm looking to have implants done soonish too, hoping I wont need bone grafting but, it wont put me off if I do.

yeah that's what my parents are saying.  the grafting itself was probably the worst thing i've experienced only because i've had it pretty easy.

here's how it went:
first i got numbed up with a topical anesthetic.  that was just like rubbing a q tip on my gums.  then the doctor took this big ass needle and poked me gums 5 times with it.  i didn't exactly "feel" the anesthetic, but i definitely felt the sensation of the liquid expanding my gums a bit.  so after that i waited for about 20 minutes or so (kept falling asleep so i'm not sure).  he came back and basically shoved a screwdriver type of tool into my gum bones, splitting them in half.  again, i couldnt exactly feel it, but i could hear it happening through my jaw bone and felt the pressure of whatever tool he was using (at this point i had my eyes closed).  then he took the bovine bone and started packing it in there.  he started stitching me up now, which was terrible.  i couldnt feel the actual stitching but i felt them go through as he pulled the string up.  my entire jaw would move up.  horrible feeling.

edit: i'll be gladly out when i get my wisdom teeth removed in june or so, as they'll give me laughing gas.  thank god.

If you are a little freaked out they can give you a mild sedative. If majorly freaked out go general but that will screw up your day.

Why the hell did you need a graft? Was your jaw bone not thick enough?

The actual implant procedure is quite cool. They use a good sized drill bit to make the pilot hole in your jaw. then they screw in a titanium post. then they use a ratchet to get the post to the right height. then you wait a couple of months for everything to heal. Then they fit you for you bridge/crown.
Your tongue WILL NOT leave the post alone Very weird to have it sitting there. My crown feels like the rest of my teeth and they even made sure the color matched!

i'm hoping i can get some percocets or something similar.  i'll just sell them and use advil prob.

anyone know the going price on percocets?
