[S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Clear Sky] Pixel Shaders Problem

Just updated my videocard drivers to "9-3_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu" (the latest for my X1950) and then patched S.T.A.L.K.E.R to the latest patch (1.5.09 Retail).

I could run S.T.A.L.K.E.R fine before, but now when I try to play it shows the splash screen, but then crashes to a black screen and says:
"Error: You graphics card cannot handle performance. PixelShaders1.1 required"

Any ideas? Or anyone else have this problem?

Try temporarily removing your Clear Sky's profile folder. It's in Public documents, called stalker-stcs. Just rename it to something else for now.

oh and FYI, don't rush into limansk. Once you cross the bridge to it you can't go back and you have to endure the absolutely shit ending.
